Last updated: 21 September 2026. These Terms cover QR Rhino’s current static-only Free account and the one-time homepage static test. They also preserve the operation of a limited number of Dynamic links already issued during testing. They do not cover future paid services.
1. Who provides QR Rhino
QR Rhino is operated by Mark Minehan trading as QRrhino (“QR Rhino”, “we”, “us”). The website is qrrhino.com. For general questions, email contact@qrrhino.com. For account or product support, email support@qrrhino.com.
Business address: 12 Donnington Grove, Binfield, Berkshire RG42 4JS, United Kingdom.
2. What is available in this beta
The homepage guest test lets you create one static URL QR code and make one PNG or SVG download without an account. You can preview and adjust the code before you create it. The guest allowance is linked to a first-party browser identifier; clearing browser data or using a different browser or device can defeat this practical limit. Do not deliberately evade usage or security controls.
A verified Free account lets one user create and manage saved static URL QR codes, choose from the available basic colours, organise codes in folders, and download PNG and SVG files. A Free account may keep up to 100 saved static QR codes at a time. Dynamic QR codes are not included in Free. Deleting a saved code frees a slot; already downloaded static QR files keep working. Reasonable security and anti-abuse controls still apply. You do not need to enter payment details to use the Free account.
Not available yet: scan analytics, customer-logo uploads, paid plans, subscriptions, and payment processing. References to possible future features do not promise that or when they will launch. If they do launch, we will describe their features and applicable terms before you use them.
3. Static and previously issued Dynamic QR codes
A static QR code contains its destination URL in the code itself. Once it has been printed or shared, changing a saved destination in your account does not change that existing QR code; you must create and distribute a new one. A downloaded static code may keep working independently of your QR Rhino account while its destination remains available. We cannot control third-party websites or guarantee that a destination will remain online.
Dynamic QR codes are not included in the current Free plan. QR Rhino issued a limited number of Dynamic QR codes during testing. Each points to a QR Rhino link at qrrhino.com/r/ and, while active, temporarily redirects scanners to the destination saved by its owner. The destination can be changed without changing the printed QR image or link. If the owner retires the code, its link permanently stops redirecting; a replacement has a different link and QR image. We may pause a link during a misuse or security investigation. Closing or erasing an account can also stop its Dynamic links. Dynamic codes depend on QR Rhino remaining available, so keep another way for customers to reach important information. Scan analytics are not provided in this release.
Before printing or distributing a code, check its destination, scan the downloaded file with a real device, and test at the intended print size and on the intended material. Scanning can be affected by contrast, size, damage, lighting, camera quality, internet access, and the destination website. Keep your own copies of important QR files and destination URLs. Do not rely on a QR code as the only way to access safety-critical or legally required information.
4. Accounts
To use the account features, provide an email address you control, follow the verification and set-password process, and keep your account details accurate. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly at support@qrrhino.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent that it results from your acts or omissions. Do not use another person’s email address without permission or share access in a way that compromises account security.
This public beta is intended for adults aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, do not create an account or use the guest generator. We may review the age policy before a later release.
5. Acceptable use and destinations
You are responsible for the destination URLs and materials you use with QR Rhino, including having the rights needed to link to and distribute them. Do not mislead people about where a code goes. QR Rhino does not endorse a destination merely because a QR code points to it.
Do not use QR Rhino for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity; phishing, malware, impersonation, harassment or threats; infringement of another person’s rights; or content that exploits or harms children. Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, overload it, scrape it by unauthorised automated means, or bypass its security or usage controls. Do not resell access without our written permission.
If we reasonably suspect serious misuse or a security risk, we may investigate and temporarily restrict a code or account while we do so. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, or where the law requires it. We will explain the reason and offer an opportunity to put things right where reasonably possible; urgent action may be needed without advance notice to prevent harm. Contact support@qrrhino.com if you think we have made a mistake.
6. Your content and our service
You retain any rights you have in the destination URLs and code names you provide. You permit us to store and process them only as needed to provide, protect and support the current service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may use the QR image files generated for you, but this does not give you rights to QR Rhino’s name, logo, software or website design.
We may improve the beta, fix defects, perform maintenance or change features. If a change materially affects an account feature you already use, we will give reasonable notice where practical, except where an urgent security or legal change is needed. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular uptime percentage. We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service.
7. Closing an account and information
You can ask to close your account by emailing support@qrrhino.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Closing an account removes access to saved codes in the workspace and can stop its dynamic QR links, but it cannot disable static QR files already downloaded or printed. How account information and saved codes are handled after deletion is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Responsibility and legal rights
We are not responsible for a third-party destination becoming unavailable, for a QR file being altered after download, or for scan failures caused by matters outside our reasonable control. This does not excuse us if we fail to use reasonable care and skill or breach a legal duty to you. We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our negligence, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will show the new date on this page. For a material change affecting existing account holders, we will give reasonable notice by email or an in-service notice where practical. A change will not remove rights that the law gives you. If you do not accept a material change, you can stop using the service and request account closure.
10. Law and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, any mandatory rights or local court options available to you under the law that applies where you live are not removed. If you use QR Rhino for business, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to Mark Minehan trading as QRrhino at contact@qrrhino.com.
